Whenever you find yourself feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed, you can try this Breathwork exercise called Box Breathing.

Think of an image of a box with four equal sides. Your Box Breathing pattern will be just like those four equal sides.

Inhale through the nose for 4 counts. Hold for 4 counts. Exhale through the mouth for 4 counts. Hold for 4 counts. Repeat as many times as you like.

Be sure to breathe deep into the belly, not the chest, throat or shoulders. If it’s helpful to you, place one hand on your belly to feel it rise and fall.
